A significant contribution is made by the successful decipherment of Indus Script Corpora. Who were Bhāratam Janam specifically blessed by Rishi Visvamitra's mantra in RV 3.53.12? They were metalcaster folk, explained by a Sanchi stupa railing hieroglyph multiplex identified as part of Indus Script Corpora. The Yavana kings mentioned in the Rock-Edicts of Ashoka were none other than these Indo-Ionian Kings. Five Indo-Ionian kings were ruling in north-western India during the time of the legendary king Ashoka. Gradually, these governors came to be known as Indo-Ionians and Indo-Parthians. King Heracles of Argos invaded up to the city of Nysa of Afghanistan around 1930-1920 BCE and appointed many his generals as governors. After Mahabharata war, many Yavana families migrated to Greece and came to be known as Ionians. A Yavana Janapada existed in North-Afghanistan and North-Pakistan since pre-Ramayana era. Now the question is how Yavanas were in the army of Chandragupta Maurya before the invasion of Alexander? Evidently, Yavanas were the original inhabitants of Yonidesha or Khyber Pass and the successors of Danavas of Afghanistan. If so, how Yavanas existed during Ramayana and Mahabharata period? Vishakhadatta’s Mudrarakshasa mentions that Chanakya and Chandragupta raised an army consisting of Yavanas, Sakas etc. Modern historians wrongly believe that Indo-Greek and Indo-Parthian rulers emerged in north-western India only after the invasion of Alexander and Yavanas means only Greeks. Colonial historians have identified these Yavana kings with the Greek kings of the 3rd century BC. Ashokan Inscriptions refer to Yavana kings as his contemporaries such as Antiyoka, Turamaya, Antikini, Maka and Alikasandara.
